Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both of whom were lawyers. At the age five she moved to Oxfordshire to attend The Dragon School. Emma had a dream to be a professional actress from the age of at the age of six. She attended Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting institute that offers part-time classes. When she was 10, Emma had taken part in numerous Stagecoach productions and plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000), the movie adaptation of J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was first cast for the very first time back in the year 1999. Emma was identified by casting agents via Emma's Oxford theatre teacher. Emma's first cinematic appearance was with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. The film is 2001's top earning film, smashing records on opening day and the very first weekend. The critics were impressed by the film and its performance. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her outstanding performance. Emma received five nominations for her impressive performance.
